Brave.....as a mouse!

Matthew 6:25-34New Living Translation (NLT)
25 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? 27 Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?
28 “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, 29 yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. 30 And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ 32 These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. 33 Seek the Kingdom of God[a] above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

I think I trust God for about 6 hours at a time then I go back to my safety blanket of stress and worry. I have to face the facts I'm a control freak and when I cant control something I get scared. I look at this hurricane Joaquin (that I have been pronouncing "ja-quon" smh lol ). What does everyone do panic purchase all the water and bread in the country.....no joke its ridiculous.

Here is my question when there is a hurricane that is probably not even going to hit us we all panic and run to the store get gas and prepare right. Why is it when we have a storm in our life why do we flee into the storm. The Lord says he is our shelter "Psalm 18: 2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

Prepare for your storm put your armor on.....you wouldn't go out in a storm in your skippies or a beautiful gown would you? NOOO you got to get your guniea boots, Rain pants, Rain jacket.

I encourage as you walk through your storm dig into the word, surround yourself with people who love the Lord, and one thing that helps me is encouraging music Lauren Daigle is defiantly one of my favorite when I feel defeated.
